What Is Balmoral Nippers ?

Balmoral Nippers is a community-based Nippers program run by the Balmoral Beach Club.

The program teaches beach awareness to children between 4 and 12 through a series of activities and competition style events.

The program is designed as a 7-8 year program from age 4 to 12.

Balmoral Nippers is a parental supervision and participation program.

The SubJunior Nipper program is open to all children between the ages of 4 and 5 years old.

The focus of this program is fun, fitness, skills and co-ordination.

Activities involving water make up 50% proportion of the program.

The Bamoral Nipper Championship program is open to all children between the ages of 6 and 11 years and is run in a competition format after the normal program, but you must participate during the normal program to be involved in the championship..

The main activities are flag races, swimming, board paddling and beach sprints.

No child will be forced to compete in any event and participation is always at the discretion of the Participant and the supervising parent or guardian of the Participant.

The primary aim of the Nippers program is to provide our children with a healthy and fun development program at the beach.

We have designed Balmoral Nippers to be a Parental participation program so parents can get directly involved.

In 2007/08, we have introduced Bronze Medallion by Royal Life Saving Association for older children and for those who have finished the Nipper program.

Please "contact us" if you are interested in joining the Bronze Medallion program as it is run concurrently with Nippers
